Artichoke Cheese bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Sourdough Baguette (10 oz)

  • 1 Tbs Butter

  • 1 Garlic Clove minced

  • 1/2 Cup Reduced Fat Sour Cream

  • 1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded

  • 1/2 Cup Monterey Jack Cheese Shredded

  • 1 Can Artichokes (drained & chopped)

  • 1 Tbs Lemon Juice

  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Preparation

Prep: Preheat oven to 350. Halve baguette legnthwise and scoop out center with fingers, tearing into small peices. Set baguette aside. 


  • Melt butter in skillet over med-low heat. Add bread pieces and garlic. Stir occasionaly for about 5 minutes, cook until golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic. 


  • In large bowl combine browned bread, sour cream, cheddar, Monterey Jack, artichoke and lemon juice.  Season with salt and pepper to taste and stir together. 


  • Spoon mixture into reserved bread shells and sprinkle parmesan on top. Before putting in the oven, make slits 3/4 of the way through the bread before baking. 


  • Bake about 20-25 minutes or until top is browned. Cool for 5 minutes. Finish cutting and serve.
